Membership Application

Thank you for your interest in joining Gridwise Alliance. Please provide the following information.

  • Please select the membership level you are interested in pursuing. View Dues Structure for details on membership levels and eligibility.
  • Any business entity or other commercial entity that operates within North America and is committed to the vision, mission and activities of The GridWise® Alliance. Designated representatives of Full Members are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors and the Nominating Committee, vote for directors, join Work Groups, and to participate fully in Corporation Activities.
  • Subject to Board approval, any small governmental entity, non-profit organization whose primary source of revenue is membership dues, or other similar entity not eligible to become a Full Member, that supports the vision, mission and activities of the Corporation, shall be eligible to apply to become an Associate Member of the Corporation. Designated representatives of Associate Members are not eligible to serve on the Board of Directors. Associate Members shall be eligible to vote for Directors, join Work Groups and participate in other activities of the Corporation.
  • Any college, university, or other similar entity not eligible to become a Full Member or Associate Member, as determined by the Board of Directors, that supports the vision, mission and activities of the Corporation shall be eligible to apply to become an Affiliate Member of the Corporation. Designated representatives of Affiliate Members are not eligible to serve on the Board of Directors and shall not be eligible to vote for Directors or at meetings of the membership. Affiliate Members shall be eligible to join Work Groups and to participate in other activities of the Corporation.

  • Terms and Conditions of Membership in The GridWise® Alliance, Inc.

    The information contained in this application is true and correct, and the Applicant is qualified to apply for The GridWise® Alliance membership. As a member, Applicant will comply with and abide by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of The GridWise Alliance, as well as other policies and procedures that may be adopted by the Alliance’s Board of Directors. The designated representative is authorized to receive and distribute The GridWise Alliance communications, and to vote on matters presented for ballot to the general membership, if applicable. The Applicant will not divulge to persons other than Applicant’s senior staff (and then only to those who themselves agree to hold such information in confidence) any information identified as confidential by The GridWise Alliance Board of Directors. Should the undersigned Applicant desire to make a public statement or issue a press release regarding The GridWise Alliance or its activities, Applicant shall first submit such proposed statement or release to the Executive Director of The GridWise Alliance for review. Participation in The GridWise Alliance Work Groups may be subject to additional requirements, including agreements regarding assignment of intellectual property rights and confidentiality. By having an authorized representative sign this application, the Applicant agrees and represents it acknowledges and agrees to the foregoing Terms and Conditions of Membership in The GridWise Alliance. Membership Dues are non-refundable and due no less than thirty days after notification of the acceptance of application to The GridWise Alliance. Payments are payable to The GridWise Alliance, Inc. Annual membership is renewed automatically, and membership fees are invoiced, due and payable in each year, unless The GridWise Alliance is notified in writing, at least 60 days prior to membership anniversary, of a resignation from membership. Applications are subject to acceptance by The GridWise Alliance Executive Committee.
