Washington D.C. – December 3, 2020 – The GridWise Alliance today announced seven new and four returning members to its Board of Directors, all of whom are strongly committed to advancing the organization’s efforts to build and expand activities to support modernizing our Nation’s electric grid.
In addition, Gil C. Quiniones, President and CEO, New York Power Authority (NYPA), transitions from Vice-Chair to become the GridWise Alliance’s 5th Chair. Mr. Quiniones replaces Calvin G. Butler Jr., Senior Executive Vice President, Exelon; Chief Executive Officer, Exelon Utilities, who is completing his 2-year term.
“As grid transformation challenges become more complex at the state and federal levels, it is vital that organizations such as GridWise Alliance take a leadership role in spotlighting progressive solutions to these challenges,” said Mr. Butler. “Mr. Quiniones brings experience, skill, and understanding of this political landscape making him the ideal industry leader to guide GridWise Alliance onward. I look forward to supporting the Alliance in my role as Immediate Past Chair by continuing to amplify the messages we have championed together.”
